Conversation and collaboration of the public and private sectors is important

We would like to thank those that came and participated in our November morning meeting today. The topic of discussion was the collaboration of the public and private sectors. We heard an example of a successful collaboration of Sjónlag and The Health Institution of South Iceland (HSU) in servicing the inhabitants of Westman Islands, had a presentation on the results of a extensive report on an analysis of the future development of Landspítali University Hospital - particularly the opportunities it sheds a light on, and an introduction to how the Directorate of Health works with outside parties. The meeting concluded with a panel discussion were participants in the audience had the opportunity to ask questions.

It is one of the main goals of The Iceland Health Tech Cluster to promote and increase innovation and general collaboration in the Icelandic health industry in the field of health and bio technology, were different parties work together on the advancement of new technology and solutions for the community. It was clear from those who participated in the meeting and the speakers and panelists that they agreed on the importance of this.

The meeting was well attended and sets a good tone for the work of the winter. We look forward to seeing you at the next meeting!
